Georgia Tech guard Curtis Haywood out indefinitely with ankle injury

Georgia Tech guard Curtis Haywood is out indefinitely with a left ankle injury suffered in the team’s win over Boston College Sunday.

Haywood has played in all 29 games this season, starting 19 and averaging 21.7 minutes per game. He played one of his best games of the season on Sunday, recording six assists against two turnovers with seven rebounds and three points in 38 minutes of play.

For the season, he is averaging 5.6 points and 2.7 rebounds per game.

Tech plays at N.C. State on Wednesday, the team’s final regular-season game, and then will play in an opening-round game of the ACC tournament next Tuesday in Charlotte, N.C.
