Georgia Tech B-back Dedrick Mills was the lone Yellow Jackets player named to the preseason All-ACC team. Mills, who led Tech in rushing last season despite missing three games, received the second most votes of any running back in the conference.

With four starters returning on the offensive line, Mills is positioned for a productive season. Last year, his 12 rushing touchdowns tied for third among all freshmen nationally. He finished the season by rushing for 169 yards and a touchdown against Kentucky in the TaxSlayer Bowl, which earned him game MVP honors.

Voters did not give much attention to Tech players. No other Jackets, including guard Parker Braun (ESPN’s true freshman All-America team) and cornerback Lance Austin (tied for ACC lead with 12 pass breakups) came close to making the team.
