Georgia State landed 10 players on the Sun Belt All-Conference football team, two of them first-team selections.

Tra Barnett, a senior running back from Hartwell and offensive tackle Hunter Atkinson, a senior from Flowery Branch, were both first-team choices. Barnett led the conference with 1,389 rushing yards and Atkinson was the centerpiece of an offensive line that produced 446.9 total yards per game.

Named to the second team were Dan Ellington, a senior quarterback from Olive Branch, Miss., and Aubry Payne, a junior tight end from Locust Grove. Third-team selections were Shamarious Gilmore, a junior guard from Riverdale, and Cornelius McCoy, a sophomore wide receiver from Deerfield Beach, Fla.

Named as honorable-mention choices were tight end Roger Carter, a junior from Columbia, S.C., center Malik Sumter, a sophomore from Irmo, S.C., defensive end Hardrick Willis, a sophomore from Jonesboro, and nose guard Dontae Wilson, a junior from Jefferson.

Arkansas State wide receiver Omar Bayless was named player of the year. Running back Darrynton Evans and linebacker Akeem Davis-Gaither of Appalachian State were named offensive and defensive players of the year.
