Tate Ratledge, the No. 5 offensive tackle in the nation according to 24/7 Sports Composite, announced his decision to play at Georgia as part of the 2020 class on Monday. Ratledge is 6-foot-7 and 305 pounds.

Ratledge, from Rome, made the announcement in a live stream from the library of the Darlington School where he is a rising senior. He is the ninth public commitment for Georgia.

Ratledge and many members of his family are Tennessee fans. He said his decision came down to the people at Georgia.

“Finally, one just stuck out more than the other,” Ratledge said. “It is more about the people there I’d say more than anything.”
