ATHENS – Georgia cornerback Juwuan Briscoe was arrested Saturday night on two misdemeanor traffic charges: Failure to have a license, and not wearing a safety belt.

UGA’s police department is listed as the arresting agency. Briscoe was booked at 9:07 p.m. on Saturday night and released a little over an hour later, according to the Athens-Clarke County jail web site. Both charges required $500 bond.

A native of Maryland, Briscoe started two games last year as a freshman, and worked with the first team for much of this spring.

This is the fourth Georgia player arrested since the beginning of March. Freshman defensive lineman Julian Rochester and defensive back Chad Clay were charged with two felonies related to shooting a BB gun in their dorm. Defensive lineman Jonathan Ledbetter, who will be a sophomore this year, was charged with two misdemeanors after police said he was inebriated while trying to use a fake ID to get in a bar.
