Four Kennesaw State football players were named to the Big South all-conference preseason teams released Tuesday.

Quarterback Trey White, wide receiver Justin Sumpter, center Malik Letatau and defensive back Taylor Henkle received the honors.

White, a senior, rushed for 964 yards and passed for 1,059 yards last season in leading the Owls to a 6-5 record. He totalled 17 touchdowns.

Sumpter, a sophomore, led the Owls with 26 receptions for 525 yards and four touchdowns.

Letatau, a senior, led an offensive line that helped Kennesaw State average 28.9 points and 293 rushing yards per game.

Henkle, a sophomore, led the Owls with 65 tackles, four interceptions and four passes broken up.

“I’m proud of those four guys,” coach Brian Bohannon said. “I believe at the end of the year there will be a lot more deserving candidates on our football team.”
