Geoff Collins was born April 10, 1971 in Atlanta. Georgia Tech hired Collins as head football coach Dec. 7, 2018. Collins played at Western Carolina from 1989-92. Collins was on Georgia Tech's staff from 1999-2001 and 2006. Collins was head coach at Temple in the 2017 and 2018 seasons. Temple compiled a 15-10 record in those seasons. Georgia Tech will conclude its spring practice with its spring game April 10, the athletic department announced Friday. The scrimmage will be on a Friday night at Bobby Dodd Stadium, as has become standard in recent years.
It is an earlier date than it was last year (April 26) and during former coach Paul Johnson’s tenure, when it typically was on the third or fourth weekend of April.
