Dalton High running back Jahmyr Gibbs has accepted a spot in Georgia Tech's recruiting class for 2020, becoming the first player at that position in the 13-player group. Gibbs announced his decision Saturday through a tweet.

Gibbs is a three-star prospect rated the No. 69 player in the state and the No. 9 all-purpose back in the country (247Sports Composite). Gibbs, who is listed at 5-foot-11 and 194 pounds, reported scholarship offers from Michigan, LSU, Virginia Tech, Texas A&M and others on his Twitter account.

Gibbs’ highlight video is a montage of tantalizing runs, showing vision, an ability to change direction without slowing down and speed to outrun pursuers. He was named honorable-mention all-state this past season in Class AAAAAA.
