Sports Illustrated accidentally created its own Sign of the Apocalypse among fans of two Georgia colleges in its Sign of the Apocalypse note in this week’s issue.

In the weekly segment, the magazine will poke fun of something that occurred in the past week in sports by saying it’s a Sign of the Apocalypse.

This week, Sports Illustrated took aim at Georgia Southern, which was last week penalized by the NCAA for academic improprieties involving the football team.

Sports Illustrated’s only problem is the helmet it selected to run with the item is worn by Georgia State, not Georgia Southern.

Both schools compete in the Sun Belt Conference.
