College football uniform updates for 2014

Last season the Bulldogs debuted a new look from Nike, with fresh lettering and new secondary logo. This season you can expect more changes across the college football landscape. Here are some of the updated looks, some with much controversy:

The Arkansas Razorbacks uniforms in 2014 don new custom wordmarks for “Arkansas” and “Razorbacks.”

Oregon continues its uniform evolution with a new color scheme in 2014. The new design expands the wing pattern to cover the entire shoulder, spreading from the chest. Oregon’s latest helmet design features a steel silver, split wing pattern that mimics the shoulder design.

Florida State's updated look creates color consistency for the primary garnet color across uniforms. The Seminoles' uniforms also will bear numbers in a new typeface called "unconquered."

The Miami Hurricanes' new uniforms include the traditional orange, green and white colors with some added twists -- including the Ibis mascot on the hip, shoulder and helmet, and changing the font and size of the numbers on the jerseys.

The all-orange “Juice” uniforms, which will be used at home, are accented by green sleeves at the shoulder with the a graphic of the ibis’ beak. In all, there are four jersey colors, four pant colors and three helmets, making up 48 combinations that can be worn.

The Syracuse Orange home uniforms are heavy on the blue and orange. The uniform pays homage to the school's "legend of 44" in a military-inspired graphic patch on the neckline that references its relationship with nearby Fort Drum and its college football lore.

The Fighting Illini will take the field in an updated color scheme, with refreshed Orange helmets and updated lettering.

The Washington Huskies’ purple home jersey introduces black accents for a tough, bold aesthetic. Black double mesh shoulder panels in the front of the jersey mimic the iconic “jaws” of Husky Stadium.

The Huskies' new all-black alternate jersey and pant feature purple and gold accents throughout, incorporating "DAWGS" lettering down the side of the pant.
