Georgia's Rich Poythress warms up in the on deck circle as the Bulldogs faced Georgia Tech at Turner Field on Tuesday. The Georgia junior entered the game with a .386 batting average and 21 home runs.

Tech's staring pitcher Zach Von Tersch allowed five runs (three earned) on six hits in four inning. Von Tersch (6-2) struck out two and walked one.

Bryce Massanari hit a two-run homer in the third inning to give the Bulldogs a 3-2 lead over the Jackets. It was the designated hitter's 19th of the season.

Georgia mascot Hairy Dog entertained the crowd from atop the dugout.

Georgia left fielder Lyle Allen makes the catch in foul territory on a fly ball by Tech's Tony Plagman for the first out of the third inning.

Tech's Luke Murton is tagged out at home by Bulldogs' catcher Joey Lewis in the seventh. Despite the out, Tech managed to score three runs in the inning to tie the game at 5-all.
