Thomas Brown is set to resign as Georgia State’s running backs coach.

Coach Trent Miles was unavailable for comment.

Brown, a Tucker native and former standout at Georgia, joined the staff in January after working for a year at Tennessee-Chattanooga. According to a copy of his contract obtained by the AJC through an Open Records Request, Brown was going to make $43,000 at Georgia State.

According to Twitter, Brown will be joining Marshall as its team’s running backs coach.

Brown was an assistant strength and conditioning coach at Georgia in 2011. He rushed for 2,646 yards and 23 touchdown for the Bulldogs from 2004-07.
