Georgia Tech football players Parker Braun and Brad Stewart distinguished themselves in the classroom by earning inclusion on the All-ACC academic team. Both were also honored following the 2016 season.

To be considered, players must earn a minimum 3.0 GPA for the previous semester and hold a cumulative 3.0 GPA over their academic career. Athletic achievements for the previous season are also considered. Braun and Stewart were among 68 ACC players chosen from 144 nominees. Duke led with 13 selections.

Braun, who is majoring in literature, media and communications, was named second-team All-ACC after starting all 11 games at left guard. He was named the ACC offensive lineman of the week for his play in the Yellow Jackets’ win over Pittsburgh.

Stewart, a mechanical engineering major, also started all 11 games for Tech. He caught four passes for 99 yards and was Tech’s principal punt returner.
