Georgia Tech wide receiver Brad Stewart practiced Wednesday in advance of the Yellow Jackets’ game Saturday against Georgia in Athens, an indicator of his potential availability after injuring his ankle against Virginia this past Saturday.

Coach Paul Johnson said Monday that he expected Stewart to play against the Bulldogs. Asked if he’ll be ready to go on Saturday, Johnson replied, “I hope.”

Stewart has developed into a trusted target for quarterback Justin Thomas with 15 catches, tied for second most on the team, for 285 yards. Stewart also has been Tech’s punt returner and averages 11.5 yards per return.

Behind Stewart at wide receiver are Mikell Lands-Davis and Jalen Camp. Lands-Davis has two catches this season and Camp has none.
