The Oklahoma Sooners are a one-point favorite over the Georgia Bulldogs in the 104th Rose Bowl game.

The College Football Playoff semifinal game (5 p.m., Jan. 1, 2018, ESPN) will  feature the nation's top scoring offense against the 4th-best defense.

The two teams have never played each other previously.

The third-ranked Bulldogs won their first SEC title since 2005 and are chasing their first national championship since 1980. Oklahoma, ranked No. 2, won its third consecutive Big 12 title and is in playoff for a second time in three years after losing to Clemson in 2015 at the Orange Bowl.

The 2018 Rose Bowl will be played without a team from either of its traditional Pac-12 or Big Ten conferences for the first time since Jan. 3, 2002.
