This is how the 2014-15 college football bowl season played out.

GoDaddy.com Bowl: Rockets running back Kareem Hunt rushed for a bowl-record 271 yards while scoring five rushing touchdowns - which tied him with former Oklahoma State running back Barry Sanders for most ever in a bowl game - leading Toledo to a 63-44 victory over Arkansas State. The offenses rolled up a combined 1,004 yards and 107 points, including a bowl-record 52 combined points in the first quarter alone in Mobile.

Birmingham Bowl: Florida quarterback Jeff Driskel (6) throws a pass during a 28-20 victory over East Carolina in Alabama.

Cactus Bowl: Oklahoma State defensive tackle James Castleman takes the snap and runs for a touchdown in a 30-22 win over Washington in Tempe, Ariz.

Armed Forces Bowl: Houston running back Kenneth Farrow (35) runs past Pittsburgh defensive back Lafayette Pitts (6) to score a touchdown in Fort Worth, Texas. Houston trailed 31-6 early in the fourth quarter but prevailed 35-34. The comeback was the largest in an FBS game this season, and largest ever in a bowl game that didn't go into overtime.

TaxSlayer Bowl: Game MVP Joshua Dobbs accounted for three touchdowns, Jalen Hurd ran for two scores and Tennessee beat Iowa 45-28 in Jacksonville in the Vols' first postseason victory since the Phillip Fulmer era (2008).

Alamo Bowl: Brett Hundley of the UCLA Bruins celebrates his touchdown against the Kansas State Wildcats in San Antonio, Texas. The Bruins won 40-35.

Sugar Bowl: Ohio State erased a 21-6 deficit, behind quarterback Cardale Jones (12), in his second college start, and Esekiel Elliott, who rushed for 230 yards and two touchdowns, as the Buckeyes upset top-ranked Alabama 42-35 in New Orleans.. Ohio State will face Oregon in the championship game Jan. 12 in Arlington, Texas.

Rose Bowl: Oregon scored six straight times in the second half, with five of the touchdowns covering at least 21 yards and the last four coming after Florida State turnovers. The Seminoles' winning streak ends at 29 as former Heisman Trophy winner Jameis Winston earns his first loss as a college starter, in a game he threw for 348 yards and turned the ball over twice. The Pac-12 champions will play Allstate Sugar Bowl winner Ohio State on Jan. 12 in Arlington, Texas, for the national title.

Outback Bowl: Heisman Torphy finalist Melvin Gordon ran for an Outback Bowl-record 251 yards and three touchdowns, and the Tigers' Daniel Carlson missed a field goal in overtime, as Wisconsin edged Auburn 34-31 for the win in Tampa.

Citrus Bowl: Marcus Murphy ran for 159 yards, Russell Hansbrough (32) added 114 yards and a touchdown as Missouri beat Minnesota 33-17 in the Citrus Bowl in Orlando. The Tigers forced three turnovers, led by game MVP Markus Golden, who finished with 10 tackles, a sack and a fumble recovery.

Cotton Bowl: Michigan State scored three touchdowns in the fourth quarter on New Year's Day to beat playoff-snubbed Baylor 42-41 in the highest-scoring Cotton Bowl ever. Jeremy Langford ran for 162 yards and three touchdowns for the Spartans.

Orange Bowl: Georgia Tech quarterback Justin Thomas directed a Jackets' offense that totaled a Capital One Orange Bowl-record 452 yards rushing. He ran for 121 yards and three touchdowns, and threw for 125 yards and a score in a 42-34 win over Mississippi State in Miami. The Jackets earned their first Orange Bowl victory in 63 years and improved to 2-8 in bowl games in the past 10 seasons.

Fiesta Bowl: Boise State lived up to its unpredictable reputation in the first quarter, pulling off the Statue of Liberty play while racing to a 21-0 lead in the opening 10 minutes. Jay Ajayi scored two of his three touchdowns in the first quarter -- one on the trick play -- and finished with 134 yards rushing as the Broncos defeated Arizona 38-30 in the Fiesta Bowl in Glendale, Ariz.

Peach Bowl: The sixth-ranked Horned Frogs rode three touchdown passes from Trevone Boykin and a dominant defense to a 42-3 rout of No. 9 Ole Miss in the Peach Bowl at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta. Josh Doctson had two touchdown catches and Aaron Green (22) ran for a score and added a touchdown reception for TCU, which was motivated by a playoffs committee snub.

Foster Farms Bowl: Stanford blew past Maryland with the kind of complete performance that had eluded the Cardinal most of the year in a 45-21 win in the Foster Farms Bowl. The Cardinal outgained the Terrapins 414 to 222 yards and looked right at home at San Francisco's Levi's Stadium, about 11 miles from campus.

Belk Bowl: Freshman Nick Chubb ran for a career-high 266 yards and two touchdowns, and No. 13 Georgia overcame an injury to starting quarterback Hutson Mason to beat 20th-ranked Louisville 37-14 in Charlotte.

Music City Bowl: Kyle Brindza hit a 32-yard field goal as time expired and Notre Dame upset No. 22 LSU 31-28 in Nashville.

Texas Bowl: The Longhorns were smothered by Arkansas' defense almost all night and finished with a season-low 59 total yards to wrap up its first season under coach Charlie Strong. Arkansas built a 24-7 lead by halftime and Jonathan Williams, who finished with 105 yards rushing, added a 1-yard touchdown run early in the fourth quarter to secure the 31-7 Razorbacks win in Houston. The Razorbacks finish with a winning season for the first time since 2011.

Russell Athletic Bowl: The Sooners had five turnovers, including three interceptions by sophomore quarterback Trevor Knight. Clemson's senior quarterback Cole Stoudt was a different presence against the Sooners, completing 26 of 36 attempts for a season-high 319 yards. He was sacked four times, but Clemson never turned the ball over. Clemson routed Oklahoma 40-6 in Charlotte, N.C.

Liberty Bowl: Aggies freshman quarterback Kyle Allen diced the Mountaineers completing 22-of-35 passes for 294 yards, 4 touchdowns, 1 interception in a game with a high-scoring first half that featured 55 combined points at the Liberty Bowl in Memphis.
