THREE STORYLINES

1. Which defense is better/worse? Georgia is replacing seven starters, all of whom ended up in NFL camps, but Clemson's rebuild has been little overstated, as eight players with starting experience return. But considering the respective offenses, forcing punts will be golden.

2. Who will kick for Bulldogs? Georgia will be without starting placekicker Marshall Morgan, who will be suspended for an alcohol-related arrest this summer. The Bulldogs haven't announced his replacement, but junior walk-on Adam Erickson is the most likely fill-in.

3. Don't call them "Gurshall." But call them difference-makers. Georgia tailbacks Todd Gurley and Keith Marshall provide the most decided advantage the Bulldogs have. Expect them to utilize it.

MATCHUP TO WATCH

Tray Matthews vs. Tajh Boyd. Georgia's freshman safety Matthews will play his first college game after missing nearly three weeks of preseason camp with shoulder and hamstring injuries. He'll be the last line of defense against a dual-threat quarterback who passed for 3,896 yards and 36 touchdowns and rushed for 517 yards and 10 more scores.
