“We were undefeated and playing our biggest rival, Edgewater High School (in Florida). I lined up on the outside. It was fourth-and-24. We needed to get a first down.

“I caught the pass and pitched it out to the fullback, who ran in behind me (a hook-and-lateral play). He ended up running for a 35-yard touchdown with around 33 seconds left.

“It was the only time we ran it.”
