A Twitter user wrote he got his father tickets to a Boston Celtics game for Christmas, but there was a problem— the game will be against the two-win Atlanta Hawks.

The Hawks took the 10-win Celtics to the wire on Monday night, but lost the game 110-107.

The Hawks Twitter account decided to get involved and convince the Celtics’ fan that watching the Hawks play might not be the worst thing.

The Celtics (10-2) saw the interaction and decided to respond to the Hawks.

The Hawks and Celtics play two more times this season, once at Philips Arena on Nov. 18 and once on Feb. 2 at Boston's TD Garden.

The Hawks travel to Detroit to play the Pistons on Friday at 7 p.m. while the Celtics host the Charlotte Hornets at 7:30 p.m.
