Edgar Castillo and Adam Jahn are training with Atlanta United with the intention of signing. Nothing has been finalized.

Castillo, a 33-year-old left fullback, worked out with the team Monday and Tuesday. He would be of interest because he could provide depth on the left side, something that manager Frank de Boer said Monday is a team need. He also would provide international experience ahead of the team’s second venture into the Champions League.

Castillo played for New England in 2019 and Colorado in 2018. He made 48 appearances with three goals and 10 assists.

He is one of two players to be capped by Mexico and the U.S. He has 18 caps with the U.S. and four for El Tri.

Castillo played for many teams in Mexico, including Santos Laguna, Tijuana, Club America and Tigres. He twice won LIGA MX titles.

While with Columbus in 2017, Jahn’s penalty kick sealed the win over Atlanta United in the playoffs. The 29-year-old played for San Jose and Columbus from 2013-18, scoring 12 goals in 103 appearances.
