The Braves traded outfielder Cameron Maybin to the Tigers Friday.

The Braves sent their starting center fielder and cash considerations to Detroit for left-hander pitchers Ian Krol and Gabe Speier.

Krol, 24, split last season between Detroit and Triple-A Toledo, appearing in 33 games as a reliever. The 6-foot-1, 210-pounder went 2-3 with a 5.79 ERA for Detroit.

Speier, 20, spent last season with Single-A West Michigan, pitching in relief and going 4-2 with a 2.86 ERA.

Maybin, 28, hit a career-best .267 with 10 home runs and 59 RBIs in 141 games for the Braves last season.
