Wire reports

How the winning run scored: Jose Yepez's double to right-center field in the eighth inning scored Philip Gosselin from second and the G-Braves, who had not led all game, averted a sweep by beating Lehigh Valley Monday afternoon at Coolray Field.

At the plate: After trailing 3-0 and 4-2 in the early going, the G-Braves gained a 4-4 tie in the second. Three IronPig errors led to three unearned runs. Joe Leonard hit his 21st double of the season.

On the mound: Closer Wirfin Obispo earned the save with his seventh straight scoreless appearance. But he was rescued by third baseman Leonard, who made a game-ending diving catch of Pete Orr's line drive that would have scored a runner from second and tied the game.

What's next for Gwinnett: The G-Braves continue an eight-game homestand with a four-game series against the Durham Bulls. Kameron Loe (4-3, 3.20) starts for Gwinnett against Jake Odorizzi (8-5, 3.88). Gametime is 6:05 p.m.
