Former Braves and Georgia Bulldogs pitcher Alex Wood has done something that Sandy Koufax, Don Drysdale, Fernando Valenzuela and Clayton Kershaw never did.

Wood became the first Dodgers pitcher in more than a century to win his first 11 decisions in a season, helping the NL West leaders beat the host Miami Marlins 7-1 Saturday night.

Wood (11-0) pitched six scoreless innings, allowing just three hits and a walk. He struck out 10 and lowered his ERA to 1.56.

Wood pitched two and a half seasons for the Braves, going 21-20.

The Braves traded him to the Dodgers in 2015 in a three-team, 13-player trade that brought  Cuban prospect Hector Olivera to Atlanta.

Wood was 6-10 for the Dodgers before this 11-0 season.

Rookie Cody Bellinger hit for the cycle for the Dodgers Saturday night.
