All five starters scored in double figures as the Hawks defeated the Nuggets, 82-73, Thursday night to advance to the quarterfinals of the Las Vegas Summer League.

The No. 14 seeded Hawks (3-2) will face the No. 22 seeded Mavericks on Saturday on the campus of the University of Nevada-Las Vegas. The Mavericks advanced with a win over the D-League Select team Thursday. The semifinals of the tournament will be Sunday and the championship game will be Monday.

Brandon Ashley, who started in place of Edy Tavares, led the Summer Hawks with a game-high 18 points and eight rebounds. Lamar Patterson and Stephen Holt each had 17 points. Terran Petteway had 14 points, nine rebounds and seven assists. Mike Muscala added 10 points.

Ashley started in place of Edy Tavares, who missed the game with a mild oblique strain.

The Hawks were 10 of 22 from 3-point range with Petteway finishing with four from long range.

Erick Green had 17 points off the bench to lead the Nuggets, who fall to the consolation round.

The Hawks lost to the Nuggets, 86-71, in their first of the three-game preliminary round on Friday.
