Hawks guard Dennis Schroder had 15 points, six rebounds and four assists for Germany in a 71-65 win over Iceland in their EuroBasket 2015 opener Saturday in Berlin.

Schroder was 7 of 13 from the field, including 1 of 4 from 3-point range. Schroder played 30 minutes and also had four turnovers. He tied for the team lead in points with the Mavericks’ Dirk Nowitzki, who added seven rebounds.

Germany held off Iceland in the fourth quarter after being outscored 20-9 in an 8:28 stretch. Jon Stefansson led Iceland with a game-high 23 points.

Germany is back in action Sunday against Serbia in the Olympic qualifier basketball tournament. The game will be played at 8:50 a.m. (ET) and can be seen on WatchESPN.
