Through 41 games, Kyle Korver, the Hawks' 6-foot-7 guard is shooting 51.5 percent from the field, 53.6 percent from 3-point range and 92.2 percent from the free-throw line.

The only other player in NBA history to put up those numbers was Steve Kerr, who during the 1995-96 season shot 50.6 percent from the field, 51.5 beyond the arc and 92.9 precent from the free-throw line, for the NBA champion Chicago Bulls.

Kyle Korver says he will continue to “try to make every shot I take.” Nearly 72 percent of his shots (239 of 332) are coming beyond the arc.

The league's 3-point shot attempts in the season before Kyle Korver was drafted was 18.2 percent. This season, more than a quarter of the NBA's shots (26.6 percent) come from 3-point range.

Kyle Korver's current 73.9 true shooting percentage, a measure of a player's overall shooting efficiency, ranks him atop the NBA.

Kyle Korver's sharpshooting beyond 24 feet has excelled in Atlanta. In his three seasons in Atlanta he's shot 66.2 percent beyond the arc, that's up from an already remarkable 59.2 percent the previous three years.

Kyle Korver holds the NBA record for 3-point percentage in a single season, shooting 53.6 percent from the outside during his 2009-10 season with Utah.

At 33 years old, Kyle Korver is averaging 33 minutes per game in his 12 NBA season. Korver was the 51st overall pick in the 2003 NBA Draft by the New Jersey Nets. A journeyman before reaching the Hawks, Korver also has played for the Sixers, Bulls and Jazz.

The Hawks signed Kyle Korver in 2013 to a four-year, $24 million contract extension to be a part of coach Mike Budenholzer's long-term plans.
