Paul Millsap sported a big bandage over his left eye.

It was the protective covering for a cut, that required 10 stitches to close, sustained in Saturday night’s win over the Pistons. The injury won’t force him to miss Monday night’s game against the Bulls.

“It was just a head bump,” Millsap said Monday morning at Hawks shootaround. “Hurts like hell. It wouldn’t affect me at all. … Everything is good to go.”

He was a full participant in the workout and coach Mike Budenholzer concurred that Millsap will play.

Millsap suffered the injury when he banged heads with the Pistons’ Aron Baynes in the fourth quarter. He was not happy about missing the final 5:21 of the Hawks’ 112-95 victory.

“I wanted to finish the game off. I wanted them to throw some tape on top of it and throw me back out there. But it wasn’t in my best interest.”

Millsap was having a monster game before the injury with 23 points, nine rebounds, five assists, four steals and four blocks.
