Kris Humphries left behind some debris at Hawks practice.

The Hawks reserve forward/center broke a backboard with a dunk during a workout session at Santa Monica High School Saturday afternoon.

The Hawks, who have lost four of their past five games, were preparing for Sunday’s game against the Lakers. Perhaps there was some pent up frustration for the team’s recent play.

The incident momentarily stopped but did not end practice. Players were able to use other baskets in the gym.

The Hawks will pay to replace the backboard and any other damages from the incident.

Following the practice, Humphries posted on social media. He posted a picture and wrote on Twitter: “Never had that happen before. Sorry for ending practice early atlhawks I’m still washing glass out of my (hair).”
