Wizards guard John Wall and Rockets guard James Harden were named the NBA’s Players of the Week for games played Dec. 8-14.

Hawks center Al Horford was a nominee.

Wall was awarded in the Eastern Conference. He led the Wizards to a 4-0 week and averaged 18.3 points, a league leading 11.8 assists, and tied for second in the conference with 2.5 steals. Wall recorded three point-assist double-doubles.

Harden was awarded in the Western Conference. He helped the Rockets to a 2-1 week and averaged a league-leading 34.0 points a game, including a 44-point game. Harden also averaged 7.3 assists and 2.8 steals.

Horford helped the Hawks to a 3-1 week. He averaged 17.7 points and 7.5 rebounds.

Other nominees included the Warriors’ Stephen Curry, Clippers’ DeAndre Jordan, Grizzlies’ Mike Conley, Marc Gasol and Zach Randolph, Thunder’s Russell Westbrook and Raptors’ Jonas Valanciunas.
