Hawks radio broadcaster Steve Holman has been voted the 2014 Georgia Sportscaster of the Year by the National Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association (NSSA).

Holman will be honored during the NSSA’s annual awards banquet on June 8 in Salisbury, N.C.

Holman is in his 30th season as the “Voice of the Hawks.” His play-by-play streak, which began in March 1989, is currently at 2,175, including regular season and playoffs. He was inducted into the Georgia Radio Hall of Fame in 2011 and has won the Georgia Associated Press Award for his Hawks coverage.
