The Hawks apparently will not re-sign Jarell Eddie to a second 10-day contract.

Eddie said goodbye to teammates following the Hawks’ 98-87 victory over the Suns Friday. He recieved thanks and praise from each player. Paul Millsap told the rookie to “keep busting it.”

The Hawks signed Eddie to a 10-day contract out of the NBA Development League on March 5. The guard’s contract was set to expire Saturday. He will likely return to the Austin Spurs. The Hawks have not announced the roster move.

Eddie did not appear in a game with the Hawks. He was in training camp with the team before being brought up for the brief stint.

Forward Mike Scott is likely to miss extended time after being diagnosed with a broken big toe on his left toe. The Hawks may add another player on a 10-day contract to take Scott’s place, meaning the team needed to cut ties with Eddie.
