Add the Mavericks to the Hawks’ exhibition schedule.

The teams will play in Atlanta on Oct. 12, according to the Mavericks’ recently released preseason schedule. The Hawks are expected to announce their exhibition schedule next week but four of the five games are now known based on opponent releases.

The exhibition game against the Mavericks is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. It is unlikely to be held at Philips Arena, which is undergoing an opening phase of renovations that are expected to be complete before the start of the NBA’s regular season. Georgia Tech’s McCamish Pavilion is a possible host arena for Hawks’ home exhibition games.

The Hawks and the Mavericks are also scheduled to open the regular season on Oct. 18 in Dallas.

Here is the Hawks’ updated exhibition schedule:

Oct. 1 at Heat, 6 p.m.

Oct. 4 at Cavaliers, 7 p.m.

Oct. 9 vs. Grizzlies, 7:30 p.m.

Oct. 12 vs. Mavericks, 7:30 p.m.
