*The Hawks will be without Jannero Pargo for several games after the guard was scheduled to undergo an appendectomy Sunday night in Cleveland. Pargo was a late scratch from the game against the Cavaliers with what the team originally called a stomach virus. He was later sent to the Cleveland Clinic where surgery was deemed necessary. The team did not have an estimate on when Pargo would return to Atlanta or how long we would be out.

* The Hawks were also without forwards Marvin Williams and Vladimir Radmanovic and guard Willie Green against the Cavs. Williams (hip flexor) missed his third straight game. Forward Vladimir Radmanovic (back) missed Wednesday’s game against the Clippers and returned to play 4:34 Friday against the Wizards. Green (back and hamstring) missed with 10th straight game.

* Center Jason Collins returned after missing 21 games with a sprained left elbow. Collins, who played just 3:02 of the fourth quarter, said doctors told him the importance of letting the injury heal properly because a setback that required surgery would have meant a six-to-nine month rehabilitation.

“It’s a ligament tear and you have to let scar tissue form in there and really let it heal,” Collins said.
