The Hawks will re-sign Austin Daye to a second 10-day contract on Wednesday, according to a person familar with the situation. The first 10-day deal expires Tuesday.

Daye has appeared in two games for the Hawks since signing on March 15. He has played nine minutes with three points and three rebounds.

Following the second 10-day contract, the Hawks must either sign the forward for the remainder of the season or cut ties with him.

The Hawks signed Daye after Mike Scott suffered a sprained left big toe last week. Scott has a timetable to return of two to four weeks.
