The Hawks said guard/forward DeAndre’ Bembry will miss four to six weeks after undergoing surgery Tuesday for the right wrist fracture he sustained during the season opener.

Under that timeline, Bembry would return no sooner than the week of Nov. 19 and sit out at least 16 more games in addition to the three he’s already missed. At six weeks Bembry will have missed about 23 games total.

Bembry is projected to be a top reserve on the wing for the Hawks along with Marco Belinelli. The Hawks selected him with the No. 21 pick in the 2016 draft out of St. Joseph’s University.

Bembry said he suffered the injury when he broke his fall during the Hawks’ victory over the Mavericks on Oct. 18.  An MRI on Friday revealed the fracture, and Bembry returned from the team’s road trip to Atlanta to be treated by team physicians.

The Hawks have lost three of four games on a trip that concludes in Chicago on Thursday. The Hawks will play the Nuggets on Friday in the home opener.
