Hawks preseason schedule released

The Hawks don’t have to wait until the regular season to make their national TV debut. They’ll take care of that in their preseason finale in Orlando Oct. 23 on ESPN.

The Hawks’ seven-game preseason schedule was released Thursday afternoon and is highlighted by that game against the defending Eastern Conference champion Magic. A regular-season schedule that includes seven nationally televised games was released Tuesday.

The Hawks open the preseason Oct. 7 against New Orleans at Philips Arena. The Hawks also host Charlotte Oct. 12 and Washington Oct. 19.

Other road games include a visit to Detroit Oct. 11, Memphis Oct. 13 and a trip to Jacksonville to face Miami Oct. 22.
