Hawks rookie forward Omari Spellman will missed at least four weeks due to a left ankle injury, the team announced Sunday.

An magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) exam performed Saturday at Emory Sports Medicine Complex revealed a low grade high ankle sprain with associated soft tissue injury. Spellman was injured in Friday night’s game against the Bulls.

According to the team, Spellman will be reviewed in about four weeks and his status updated as appropriate.

Should he miss four weeks, Spellman would miss 14 games, including Sunday’s game at the Bulls. The Hawks (21-42) have 19 games remaining in the regular season.

Spellman has appeared in 46 games this season and 5.9 points and 4.2 rebounds in 17.5 minutes.
