The Hawks will host Kentucky forward PJ Washington for a visit Friday as the team nears the end of its pre-NBA draft process. Washington is not scheduled to work out for the team.

Washington, 6-foot-8, 230 pounds, averaged 15.2 points and 7.5 rebounds as a sophomore last season. He raised his 3-point percentage from 23.8 to 42.3 percent between his freshman and sophomore seasons.

Washington, 20, was a consensus Third-Team All-American last season. He was All-SEC First Team and a finalist for the Karl Malone Award, presented to the nation’s top power forward.

Washington widely is considered a first-round pick and reportedly has been invited to the Green Room on draft night.

The Hawks hold six selections in the June 20 draft, including Nos. 8, 10 and 17 in the first round.

The Hawks are scheduled to have a final player workout session Saturday.
