The Hawks finally know their playoff opponent – the Nets.

Atlanta will open the first-round of the NBA playoffs against Brooklyn after the final regular-season games were played Wednesday night.

The Nets over took the Pacers for the eighth and final playoff spot. The Nets defeated the Magic and the Pacers lost to the Grizzlies. Both teams finished with 38-44 records but the Nets owned the head-to-head tiebreaker. Their reward is a series against the top-seeded Hawks, which begins Sunday.

“The group had a great regular season and now we are ready to start the playoffs,” Hawks coach Mike Budenholzer said following a season-ending loss to the Bulls Wednesday.

The Hawks swept the season series with the Nets (4-0), including two wins this month.

Here is the schedule:

Game 1 – Sunday at Atlanta, 5:30 p.m., TNT

Game 2 – Wednesday at Atlanta, 7 p.m., NBA TV
