Dewayne Dedmon will miss the remainder of the season after the Hawks announced that he will undergo a non-surgical procedure to address ongoing left ankle soreness. The starting center is scheduled to have the procedure later this week.

According to the team, Dedmon will begin a short period of rehabilitation before returning to regular workouts.

The Hawks have six games remaining in the season, including Sunday afternoon’s home game against the Bucks.

Dedmon appeared in 64 games this season and averaged 10.8 points and 7.5 rebounds per game.

Dedmon earned $6.3 million this season after he exercised the player option in his contract this summer. He will become a free agent following the season.
