The Hawks assigned Lamar Patterson to the NBA Development League on Monday. The rookie guard/forward will play for the Austin Spurs following the flexible assignment rule.

Patterson was recalled from an assignment with the Canton Charge on Friday.

Patterson has played 16 games in the D-League in five stints with Austin and Canton. He averaged 13.6 points, 4.5 assists and 4.2 rebounds in 27.8 minutes.

Austin has three games remaining in its season – Tuesday at the Bakersfield Jam, Friday versus the Los Angeles D-Fenders and Saturday versus the Texas Legends.

Patterson will join Hawks rookie center Edy Tavares in Austin.
