With the NBA season just around the corner, the Hawks have announced they will hold an open practice at 6 p.m. Oct. 8 at State Farm Arena, with fans permitted to stay for the rookie talent show afterward.

“We are excited to welcome Hawks’ fans back to State Farm Arena,” Hawks CEO Steve Koonin said. “Our open practice presented by Sharecare will be both a free and an incredible opportunity for fans to come out and see the bright future of the Hawks as well as be entertained by the team’s newest players.”

The event is free, although fans must have a ticket to attend (seating is general admission). The first 1,000 fans will receive a Sharecare arm sleeve (giveaway will take place at Gates 1 and 2).

Doors open at 5 p.m.
