Game 1 of the Hawks’ first-round playoff series against the Nets had a 104 percent increse in ratings and more than doubled the number of viewers compared to last year, the team announced Tuesday. The numbers are compared to Game 1 of last season’s first-rouind playoff series against the Pacers.

Sunday’s Game 1 against the Nets was broadcast on SportSouth and TNT, and together they received a household rating of 9.77, with 339,000 people across the two networks watching the contest. Last season, the Hawks’ first playoff game at the Pacers was broadcast on SportSouth and ESPN, and combined it drew a 4.77 with 144,000 fans watching.
