What to watch for: The Hawks (18-42) will play their first home game since beating the Pistons on Dec. 11. They lost at the Bucks and Pistons before the All-Star break and then suffered a 116-93 defeat at the Pacers on Friday. The Hawks have won seven consecutive games against Western Conference opponents.

The Lakers (25-34) began their four-game trip with a 113-108 victory at the Kings on Saturday to end a three-game road losing streak. Rookie point guard Ball, the No. 2 overall pick in the last draft, returned from a 14-game injury absence in the loss to the Mavericks on Friday and had nine points, seven rebounds and six assists in 17 minutes.
