As expected, Taurean Prince will not play for the Hawks in Sunday’s Las Vegas Summer League game against the Wizards.

Final league approval for the three-team trade that sent the draft rights to Prince, the No. 12 overall selection in the NBA Draft, is still pending and may not come until at least Monday. The Hawks are scheduled to play the Nets on Monday and Prince is likely to miss that game as well.

Waiting for league approval, Prince has not been allowed to practice with the Hawks’ summer league team. The Hawks want Prince to get some practice time with the team before he competes in a game.

Following the first three opening-round games, the summer league will move to a seeded double-elimination tournament. Prince could see his first professional action when it begins later in the week.
