Eastern Conference Playoff Picture: Hawks remain third with win

One week remains in the NBA regular season and there are four teams fighting for two final playoff spots and six positions, including two home-court, still to be determined in the Eastern Conference.

It should be an interesting final seven days.

The Hawks remained third in the conference with a win over the lowly Suns Tuesday night. They pushed their lead to a half-game over the idle Celtics. The Heat kept pace with a win over the Pistons. The Hornets fell a game behind in loss the loss column with a loss to the Raptors. The battle for spots 3-6 continues.

The Bulls suffered another loss, losing to the Grizzlies, and are two games out of the eighth and final playoff spot.

There will be some movement, if no clarity, with a slate of games in the East Wednesday that include the Cavaliers at Pacers, Pistons at Magic, Nets at Wizards, Pelicans at Celtics and Hornets and Knicks.
