Hawks coach Larry Drew said the team is not in a hurry to make a roster move to fill the void left by the loss of two-time All-Star Al Horford.

Horford will miss three to four months with a torn pectoral muscle in his left shoulder, the team announced Thursday. He has yet to have  surgery.

Drew said Saturday morning that the team will continue to evaluate the situation.

“There is nothing been discussed [about a roster move],” Drew told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. “Right now we are still in the evaluation stage because we are [at home] for another three games.

“The first impulse after getting the news about Al was ‘We’ve got to hurry up and do something, we’ve got to hurry up and do something.’ Things have settled down a little bit. We’ve made the decision not to get in a hurry to do anything. We’ll look and we’ll talk about the team and we’ll talk about possibilities. But we are not going to hit the panic button right now and start bringing in guys. We are not quite sure if that’s the actual move we want to make. We are still evaluating the situation.”

The Hawks (8-4) defeated the Bobcats by 30 points Thursday in the first game without Horford. They host the Timberwolves tonight. They also have home games against the Raptors on Monday and the Trailblazers on Wednesday.
