DeAndre Bembry had seven points, five assists and three rebounds for the Salt Lake City Stars Thursday night in an NBA Development League assignment game. The Hawks recalled Bembry from the assignment Friday morning and he was expected to join the Hawks in Denver for a game against the Nuggets.

Bembry’s performance came in a 114-90 home loss to the Texas Legends.

The Hawks rookie was making his third D-League stint as the team seeks to get him playing time to continue his development.

Bembry started at forward and played 26 minutes. He was 2 of 8 from the field, including 0 of 2 from 3-point range.

In his three D-League games, all with the Stars, Bembry averaged 20.3 points, 5.0 rebounds and 5.0 assists in 32.7 minutes.
