The Chicago Cubs go their shiny rings to go with their historic championship. And, boy, what a ring.

Here are five things that make it extra special:

• Each 14-karat white gold ring has a total of 214 diamonds, three karats of red rubies and 2.5 karats of sapphires. The top of the ring features 33 red rubies forming the team's bull's-eye logo surrounded by 72 round white diamonds, all in a circular perimeter. The bezel features 108 round white diamonds — one for each year between championships.

• The game scores from their playoff run are engraved inside.

• One side features the player’s name above a “W” flag surrounded by a silhouette of Wrigley’s bricks and ivy.

• On the palm at the bottom of the outer band is the date and time the Cubs won the series — “11-3-16, 12:47 a.m.”

• There's also an image of a goat engraved inside, a nod to the supposed franchise curse.

They’re worth about $70,000 each. (The club gave away 1,908 of them.)

Contrast that to the Atlanta Braves’ 1995 World Series ring.

The Braves’ championship ring includes 115 points’ worth of diamonds -- including a 3/4-carat diamond center stone -- on 10-karat yellow gold with engravings that feature the Braves’ tomahawk logo, the World Series trophy and the slogan “Team of the 90s.” It cost about $1,800.

Sounds like it’s time for an upgrade.
