BRIAN McCANN, Atlanta Braves (2005-present) -- In his fairly short career as Atlanta's top catcher, McCann has become a team mainstay. Here are his career stats: .299 BA, 76 HR, 323 RBI with three All-Star selections.

JOE MAUER, Minnesota Twins (2004-present) -- Despite being hampered by injury, Mauer's career stats are impressive already: A .324 BA, 58 HR and 343 RBI. He's a two-time All-Star and has already been a two-time AL batting champion.

MIKE PIAZZA, Los Angeles Dodgers (1992-1998); Florida Marlins (1998); New York Mets (1998-2005); San Diego Padres (2006); Oakland Athletics (2007) -- On May 5, 2004, Piazza surpassed Carlton Fisk for most home runs by a catcher with his 352nd as a catcher. His career stats include a .308 BA, 427 HR and 1,335 RBI. Piazza was a 12-time All-Star and the 1992 NL Rookie of the Year.

JOHNNY BENCH, Cincinnati Reds (1967-83) -- During his long Reds career, Bench posted these stats: .267 BA, 389 HR and 1.376 RBI. Bench was a 14-time All-Star, the 1968 NL Rookie of the Year, two-time NL MVP, the 1976 World Series MVP and played on two World Series championship teams.

CARLTON FISK, Boston Red Sox (1969, 1971-1980); Chicago White Sox (1981-1993) -- The original "Pudge" boasts a career .269 BA, 376 HR and 1,330 RBI. He was an 11-time All-Star and the 1972 AL Rookie of the Year.

THURMAN MUNSON, New York Yankees (1969-79) -- While Munson's career was cut tragically short by his August 1979 death in a plane crash at age 32, his time in pinstripes was amazingly productive. For his career, Munson posted a .292 BA, 113 HR, 701 RBI and 1,558 hits. A seven-time All-Star selection, he was a member of two World Series champion teams, the 1970 AL Rookie of the Year and the 1976 AL MVP.
